Help the famous detective Hercule Poirot solve yet another case of murder in this adventure game
Agatha Christie's crime novels are renowned around the world, thanks to the clever plot twists and well-crafted characters that are part of the story. Spanning across a few decades, the series featured more than its fair share of bestsellers, some of which were bound to be turned into movies, or, in this case, an interactive video game.
Play as Antoinette Marceau and solve the mysterious crime
In Agatha Christie - Murder on the Orient Express, the spotlight shines on Antoinette Marceau, who takes on the case of the strange crime that took place aboard the famous train. In addition, the legendary detective Hercule Poirot is also part of the story and you can get valuable advice from him, as well as lend him a helping hand in solving the crime.
The actual game uses point-and-click gameplay mechanics, although you also get to move around the environment a bit and enjoy the beautifully modeled characters in full 3D. Most of your time, though, is spent examining objects and talking with other people, in order to find clues and form an overall picture of the events that took place before the murder. Moreover, despite the fact that the story follows the one from the novel, the ending is actually different from the original, which offers you a completely new experience to enjoy.

The trail grows colder as the snow covers the landscape
Another factor that greatly contributes to the overall atmosphere of the game is the surrounding environment. Since the train is basically into the middle of nowhere and a blizzard is raging outside, you catch glimpses of the landscape whenever you happen to look out the window, which in turn makes you immerse even deeper into the game's universe and really put effort into trying to bring the case to its conclusion.
As previously mentioned, the graphical and artistic presentation of the game is top-notch, thanks to the carefully rendered environments and the very detailed characters you meet throughout the story. In addition, the voice acting and the soundtrack playing in the background maintain the same quality standards, with convincing dialog and spine-chilling music.
A real treat for every aspiring detective out there
All in all, Agatha Christie - Murder on the Orient Express provides you with a very close depiction of the actual novel, except of course for the different ending. Other than that, the feeling is as close to the book as it can be, with the added benefit of being able to figure out the mystery by yourself.

Catch a mysterious serial killer who goes by the nickname of ABC in this exciting point & click adventure game
Mysteries are always intriguing to watch or investigate, especially when they seem to be leading from one clue to the next. The thrill of the hunt is quite exciting if you enjoy puzzles, but real-life mysteries rarely lead you to treasures or hidden ruins. On the other hand, crimes can be pretty interesting as well, at least if you don’t mind being around dead bodies all the time.
A new mystery for the famous Hercule Poirot
Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders is a point & click adventure game in which you play the role of Hercule Poirot, the incredible detective who’s always ready to tackle the most perplexing mysteries. The game plays a lot like a classic of the genre, but there are some new elements as well, although not all of them are great additions to the gameplay. Even so, you can have a lot of fun with the mechanics if you give them a chance.
As for the story, it all starts with a murder and a suspect that warns Poirot about his upcoming spree. The killer calls himself ABC, and he unleashes a series of gruesome murders all around the city, practically daring the detective to come looking for him. Many other characters make an appearance along the way, and it’s worth noting that the plot is taken directly from an Agatha Christie novel.
Great graphics and simple gameplay
You can interact with the environment using the mouse, which is only natural in a point & click adventure game. However, there are some mini-games as well every now and again, such as observing a particular object for clues, or even interrogating suspects to extract information from them. You definitely won’t be bored, but you won’t be dazzled either, especially since it’s almost impossible to fail or miss something.
As for the graphics, the game certainly looks great, especially since it’s designed in a fully 3D environment. The camera angles can be a tad annoying sometimes, especially when you are indoors, but it’s not as bad as in other games. In addition, the atmosphere is completed by the nice music and the decent voice acting that inspires some life into the characters.
A neat adventure for mystery fans
Although it’s not a very good adventure game, Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders tells a very interesting tale and it’s simple enough for everyone to handle the mechanics. Hence, if you want something light to occupy your spare time with, this might do the trick.
